Re: Tom Wood\'s Custom driveshaft
The price I paid was $650. That included an Advanced Adapters Kit and the CV joint shaft. No hidden cost, that included TAX, shipping, and No Core charge. I shopped around and found cheeper kits but they used sawed off tailshafts. The advanced adapters kit is the most complete I found. Other kits will also charge a $200 core for your old tailshaft. Also as I found out CV joint driveshafts are harder to balance. Most shops that use computer balancers only test at 1300 RPM (apx 35 mph on a wrangler). This does not give an accurate measurment and as I found out means nothing when your jeep is shaking apart at 55 mph.
Good Luck,
Jason
P.S. The folks at advanced adapters told me that Currie will pay $100 for your old Tailshaft. So they can cut it down I guess.
