Carb/Intake options

Picked up an Edelbrock performer intake. Was wondering can I use a 2 barrel adapter and maybe a Holley 500cfm 2 barrel instead of a 4 barrel carb. Would it work or would I be losing performance and maybe some efficiency?

Any thoughts?

Re: Carb/Intake options

I doubt you would lose much on performance as long as the adapter had a good fit. IF you can keep your foot out of it, a 4bbl of comparable size will get better gas mileage.

Thought about a q-jet?

All you need is the adapter plate, fab some brackets and you're ready to roll, i'm getting about 14-15 out of my 360 as long as i keep off the skinny pedal.
