Brake Booster upgrade on CJ7 question

I recently picked up a complete brake booster set from a '93 wrangler at a garage sale that I plan to use on my '84 CJ7. I noticed that there is a hole in the booster that I believe is used to connect to a vacuum source. Is there some type of fitting that is supposed to be in there? Are there any other parts inside that could be missing? What is this piece called and where could I get one. I want to make sure this unit is complete before I remove my old manual brake system. How can I bench test the unit (if possible at all). Any information appreciated, pics of final install would be cool as well. Also, if anyone has a link to any write up of the swap that would be great. I did a google search but did not find a really good write up.

Thanks.

Thanks.

Re: Brake Booster upgrade on CJ7 question

From what I can see it goes to the manifold without anything in between.

Re: Brake Booster upgrade on CJ7 question

There is a check valve that goes in that grommet. That is to retain enough vacuum for a stop or two if the engine shuts off.
