water coming out of PCV.

Trying to get my '75 CJ5 w/ '83 AMC 150 running still. Actually I finally have the engine running. But, I knew the thermostat was bad so I took it out, it was rusted and of course stuck. Engine had not been run in several years until very recently. Thought I would try to spray some of the rust off the inside of the block where the thermostat goes with the water hose. I was squirting the water hose in the hole where the thermostat goes when I see what I swear is water bubbling out from around the PCV grommet. I stopped immediately and removed the valve cover. No noticeable water. Next I drained the oil and removed filter. Again no noticeable water. Head gasket, or just my imagination since I can't find water.

If you have the heater hoses off, that's probably just where to hose to the heater core hooks up.
