Carb ID help
I'm new to the forum. My name is Joe and I'm from central Iowa.

Anyway I need to rebuild my carb. and sometime in my Jeeps life
some removed the tag to ID the carb.

It's off a '75 CJ-5 304, I have owned in for about 13 years.
I don't if is original. or not. I'm hoping someone cna tell what it is so I can get parts.

Re: Carb ID help
1. It looks like an Autolite/Ford MC2100/2150,
2. That was stock on the 304

Re: Carb ID help
It is a 2100, the 2150 has an altitude compenstating circuit and that one does not have it. It is the stock carb.

Re: Carb ID help
I called Napa and they list two carbs for '75 304
both 2100 series.

Anyone know the number that was on the tag?

Re: Carb ID help
you could do a search on mc2100 and find a generic number. From my limited knowledge most of the kits are the same. You might save a litlle money if you get a rebuild for a carb that came off of a ford rather than a jeep.

Re: Carb ID help
Its definately a 2100 series-the kits are all teh same-a one kit fits all years deal-the only thing you have to watch is there are two different diaphragms for the fuel pump-I found that CARQUEST was the best source of parts if your rebuild kit comes up short on specialty parts. I guess my 2100 autolite had a rare fuel diaphragm-but all the others I have ran into had the one included in the kit. Thats a great carb and easy rebuild-good luck!
