Wasn\'t only the carrier

Well it seems I didn't just blow the carrier.

Was pulling the rear today and wondering why the wrap bar was being such a little PITA to get out..

Maybe the slight deformity has sometihng to do with it.

Bolts were all bent, bushings are toast, and the metal sleves in them are all cracked.

Shackle is a little tweaked. http://www.pretense.net/4x4/Picture%20018.jpg

And the bar itself is also tweaked

seems like a little rebuild is in order.

this is all from the one launch that took out the side/spider gears. It was all straight when I put it back in after the engine swap.

Re: Wasn\'t only the carrier

Ouch! That bar pic is a good example of why the bottom bar should connect all the way at the front of the top bar, and not in the middle. There's a lot of force being applied there.
