Re: T5 clutchless shifting

Oh yea, 1972 Blazer, my first 4wd, truck 4 spd, 3 spd w/ granny first(not synchro), np205?, clutch bellcrank pivot engine side sheared flush on way to work, jam it in first-GRIND-give it gas, eased it up and down the gears, slipped into N before stop light, here we go again, jam it in first-GRIND-give it gas, rest of the way to work and home, second shift-less trafic going home and slid through a couple of red lights to boot, hehehehe. 350 out. Built 454 in. Scared the poo outta myself a couple times. HEHEHE. With a TH400 I would have been down right dangerous!

True thing for the Big Trucks, but for trannys with syncros "floating gears" isnt the best thing for them.
Its fine if your running an Eaton or something without syncros, but syncros are in there for a reason
Even though I still do it sometimes in my Jeep, its usually after I`ve been out for awhile in the big truck.Like turning corners using two lanes LOL!!Little ole Jeep aint pulling no wagon, but I make a corner like I`m dragging my 53' LOL!!

Gotta retired 87 KW 900 with a 3408 Cat,5X4 w/4 hole brown 3:55`s on tall rubber sitting out back and she`s a "Rooster Cruiser" if ya know what I mean
25 years,2 million miles and I`m still at it

Woop,Woop !! Trucking Up !!
