Warn 9.5TI Winch...any good?

Noticed one on ebay, new for $875...looked like a good deal. Anyone seen one in action or have comments on it?

Thanks in advance!

Re: Warn 9.5TI Winch...any good?

its okay, but i dont need a littl elight to tell me when my winch is hot.
in my book, the simpler, the better.
i like external solinoids, a normal motor, and a regular remote that i can easily jump.
if you have that much $$$ to spend, look in to a warn 8274.
that warn has external solinoids, is simple to run/repair, and is just plain FAST. it will blow the doors off that TI you are looking at. the external solinoids make it easy/cheap to repair if you ever have solinoid issues(which you will eventually, if you keep any winch long enough/use it hard)
the only downside to the 8274 in my book is price, and its so big, mounting is an issue.

Good points. My only concern with the 8274 was potential for cooling issues...cost is a bit more too.

i have 5 winches, and the 8274 is the best, it works great!
i use it alot,
i have a MM 10,000 hydro, a superwinch X9, a ramsey RE 8,000(trailer winch) a warn MX10,000 and the warn 8274.
the 8274 romps on them all!

Actually, if my memory serves me correctly, the ti is right behind the 8274 in line speed. I could be wrong though.
