I just had a front lockrite locker installed on my 81 CJ-7. I was testing it out when I noticed that the front drive shaft was turning even when I had the hubs in the 4X2 position. I jacked up the front end and I was able to spin the passenger side tire (in 4X2) without turning the drive shaft. When I turned the driver side tire also in the 4X2 position the driveshaft turned as well. Sounds to me that there is something wrong with the driver side manual hub and it is not disengaging from the axle. But since this is my first locker I was also wondering if this is normal operation with a front locker installed? 4X4 works great I just can't seem to get the driver side tire to disengage.
