OT: Thank You and Goodbye, President Reagan

Honor.
Respect.
Pride.

You continue to bring out the best in us even in your death. Thank you again for reminding us why we are the greatest nation on earth.

While I was never a big fan of President Reagan at the time he was in office.

We all must admit that he set a standard that has not been met since.

Honor.
Respect.
Pride.

Exactly, we need that again now.

I'm not sure of the history of this ritual, but I swear it gave me chills watching the procession. Then shortly after, the 21 plane flyby, with one jet pulling out of formation and straight up to the heavens. Serious tear jerk moment.

I agree, Dale, this country needs another cheerleader like Reagan. He pulled us all out of a serious funk with his patriotism and spirit.

Jim not sure if you are referring to the time this started or whether you are referring to what it typifies:

But, the boot facing back in the stirrups typifies: The last look back over the troops that a Commander will never command again.
