Anyone know of a dealer who doesn\'t gouge on parts

I am building a set of Rubicon dana 44's and have collected all the parts I need except for a few. I need the rear axle shaft bearings, retainers, and retainer plates for a TJ 44. The local stealerships want about $250 for these 6 little parts and I don't want to pay it. If anyone knows of a dealer who is not a ripoff artist and doesn't mind shipping please drop me a phone number....

If the parts are available from Omix-Ada...Ricky's a genuine O-A dealer

Re: Anyone know of a dealer who doesn\'t gouge on p

I've bought some parts from a Dodge dealer in the mid-west. I don't recall their name or location, but still have their email:
[email protected]
That addy is a few years old... I did buy a few items from them Even with shipping they beat the pants off my "stealer", some by 50%!
This place was pretty popular for awhile, they guaranteed only 10% mark up over cost. Send them mail, see if they still do this...

This is just in case you have the old bearings or the numbers, but you can take the bearing number to King bearing or an equivilent bearing supplier and get the same bearing for 50% or less than what the dealer or the parts house wants for them.

If you dont have the numbers then take the axle and the housing to the supplier they can size and fit your bearings for you and still save you a ton of money.

As to the retainers and plates they may be able to help you there to.

This is just a thought. I have done this on several of the old Fords I have had over the years for rear and front axle bearings. For stock and custom axles.

We got the bearings and retainers figured out, but he still needs the plate that bolts/keeps the axle in. Not sure if it is rubicon dana 44 specific, or just any d44???
