Re: R.I.P.

He declared at the outset, "Government is not the solution, it's the problem,"

sounds like your kinda guy Taz, but actually.. he was everyones kinda guy.. a VERY popular pres. He's the only one ever honored with an aircraft carrier named after him while he still lived.
It's only too bad his last 10 years were so ravaged he was not able to function, but it's truly a testament to Nancy that she took care of him without regret. It makes me think THATS what love is....

Re: R.I.P.

God bless the most honorable Ronald Reagan... may he rest in peace. He's in a much better place now... where Alzheimers will never again trouble him.

As well, may God comfort Miss Nancy in this time of her terrible loss and ensuing grief.

Chris is 110% dead-on - Nancy's caretaking of her husband is love in action. What a wonderful testimony of TRUE, EVERLASTING & UNCONDITIONAL LOVE.

We've lost a great American patriot today.......

Not to mention, an original Jeep SWB owner/driver :

Re: R.I.P.

1. Amen, and Amen,
2. We have lost one of the greatest Presidents,
3. That God graced the United States with...
4. I mourn his loss,
5. And rejoice at his new found freedom.
6. I will miss that man...

I think it is a testament to Nancy that we have not heard much from Ron in the last 10 years or so. She has shielded him from the public in such a carring way. The world will be able to remember him as a great President and not as an Alzheimer sufferer...

Re: R.I.P.

May God Bless Mrs. Reagan in this time, she lost a great man to a terrible disease. She was truly a great woman who supported a great man.
She is one whom the saying "Behind every great man is a great woman." applies to.
God Bless the entire Reagan family in this time of mourning. Our countries loss is great, but thiers is much worse.

Re: R.I.P.

Agree, a terrible loss to us but he is in a better place. He was my favorite president. Also the only one I had ever personally met. I think Ronald and Nancy were the best couple in the whitehouse the US have ever seen. A geat man with a great woman.

RIP Ronald Reagan
