Jeep clubs

Has anyone had any experiences with any Massachusetts based Jeep clubs. Would love to find a group to join but dont want to head out to the trail with a group of pretensious a-holes since that seems to be a lot of people in this area. No offense to anyone on this board of course

Re: Jeep clubs

I'd be interested in NH based clubs too if anyone here has opinions. It's gettin harder and harder to find legal trails out there on your own so I'd also like to hook up with a club and don't want to dive in without recommendations for the same reason.

Re: Jeep clubs

I'm in Manchester, about an hour south of Laconia. I grew up in Laconia and used to wheel there a lot, but just about every trail I knew of is now a housing development.

Re: Jeep clubs

A friend of mine lives in Worcester, MA and he belongs to this club: http://www.sniperslairoffroad.com/ If his personality reflects the personallities of the rest of the group you should have no worries about pretension. If anyone knows of any clubs in CT I'd appreciate the direction.

Re: Jeep clubs

Don't know about any clubs directly but I found this web site that has a pretty good listing of clubs including some in CT and MA.
