fuel filter change

I'm at about 85000 miles and I want to change the fuel filter on my 98 wrangler. I am pretty sure that it is located in the gas tank right by the fuel pump. Is this correct? If so, is it hard to drop the gas tank?...or should I just wait until my fuel pump goes and replace them both. Please let me know.

Also any recommendations for the brand of filters to use?

Re: fuel filter change

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but aren't they the same assembly on a TJ? I asked for one and all they could sell me was the pump assembly that had the filter in it? Just what I have been told.
