Help with jeep history project

Hey!
I am doing a project in school about jeeps and need to do 2 bios of people. My problem is I am having trouble finding people/ info. If anyone could throw me some names/ resources I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

Re: Help with jeep history project

Sid Viscious and Alice Cooper...they don't have anything to do with Jeeps but they are people...and wouldn't it be fun to turn in those reports...

If they must be Jeep related. Try:

Ernie Pyle, war correspondent in WWII.
John North Willys Founder Willys-Overland
Ward Canaday, Ran Willys-Overland forever.
Barney Roos, Engineer, designer of the "Go-Devil" engine.
Charlie Sorenson, Head of W-O when the CJ2A was introduced.
Bill Mauldin, Cartoonist:

Run it up the mountain again, Joe. It ain't hot enough.

Re: Help with jeep history project

Bill Mauldin had a WWII jeep until he died. He was featured in a couple programs on the history channel in regards to the history of the Jeep.

Re: Help with jeep history project

I don't have any resources with me right now but the guy who started the rubicon trail jambo, the guy who wrote the jeep owners bible, del (i want to say allbright is his last name) he's in the recent rubicon express add and is on the rubicon trail form on pirate4x4.com he's one of the guys really fighting for it today he'd probably give you an e-mail interview if you asked him, the marski's (search marski collection into google) they have probably 30 jeeps from a WWII to a tj and are big time jeep collectors (wouldn't hurt to shoot them an e-mail).
