OT- Spare a Prayer?

I have my Mom's, Aunt's, and every other old lady I know's prayer circles working for my Brother-in-Laws wife, so I thought I'd try to get some of you to join in for me as well.

My wife's brother called this morning from the hospital. Yesterday evening his wife had a fever, vomiting, and a backache. Obviously she had the flu and needed to go to bed. Well, this morning he could not wake her. She is now in the hospital in a coma. It turns out, after a spinal tap and hours of other tests, that she has bacterial meningitis and might not survive the next 24-36 hours. If she does survive, there is a very high likelyhood of permanent brain damage.
She's only 41 friggin years old!!!!
So anyway, if those of you so inclined wouldn't mind, PLEASE put them in your prayers. And if you are involved in a prayer circle, get them involved as well.
They are Jim and Tracey Baker.
Thanks guys. I know the Jeep community can help them, even though they are bikers and not Jeepers.

Re: OT- Spare a Prayer?

Got one headed up as soon as I type this out. Will also ask for prayer tomorrow morning in Sunday School/church.

Coincidentally, but I just read an article about meningitis in the local paper this morning.

May God's presence comfort all involved...

Re: OT- Spare a Prayer?

You'll have mine.

A similar thing happened to one of my father's close friends. She started feeling ill, and within a few hours was paralyzed. I can't remember now what it was (it's been a couple years) but I know that it's taken this long and she is still only able to move her upper body. She was in her late 40's, but a very active, healthy, non-smoking woman. It blew everyone's mind that it happened to her, and just all of a sudden.

Best wishes to her in her recovery.

God be with her, and her family and friends.

I'm pulling for her. It's so hard to understand when bad things happen to good people.

Re: OT- Spare a Prayer?

You have mine as well. Many kind people on this board responded to my plea for prayer for my cancer stricken daughter. The power of prayer is downright amazing!

Add one more here. Thats terrible. I know that there are reasons for everything that happens from above, but I never will understand most of them. Hopefully one day I will.
