Re: Selling price needed
If it has that many mods on it I wouldn't be afraid of asking $6-7k. Maybe more. Check the local clasifides and see what a stock Jeep is going for. Adjust from there. It is only worth what someone is willing to pay. You may not get all of your money back out of it too.

Re: Selling price needed
You put a detroit in the front and a lockright in the back? That's backwards from what I would have done. I've got 2 lockrights and they work great but if given a detroit, that's what I would do with it.

Re: Selling price needed
I'd some where between 7-10 grand. Your never going to get what you piad for all the mods but that's pretty good. Built trail rigs can be real hard to sell for anything close to what you put into them. Your jeep seems like a real nice jeep. With that much time and work in her i'd have trouble selling it.

Re: Selling price needed
The detroit came along as the front was getting built after the D30 incident. The rear had a lockrite. I have a FF D60 that is going to replace the rear axle. Might be a nice match to the front Chevy D60 (and the new project?)

Re: Selling price needed
He came by last night and said hed been checking it out for awhile. I walked around it and told him about it (chest puffy) and told him Id want atleast $6800 for it. He jumped at it and told me hed have it in 2 weeks. Makes me think about pricing up the truck. I did and came up with about $9500 in parts and machine work

Re: Selling price needed
I suppose it is too late now -- but did you want to sell the Jeep or did he just approach you? If he just approached you I would have set the price based upon what you would spend to rebuild again.
When selling you can always negotiate down on price, it is very difficult to negotiate up... Mike |
Re: Selling price needed
I really had no interest in selling it
He just drove in and we talked. He said hed seen it tor months and checked it out. I was finally home I guess |
Re: Selling price needed
Do you have another project Jeep going right now. I don't think I could ever sell ether of my jeeps. Sometimes they feel like family. But if you have a project going, I bet that 7K will give you a nice boost.
