Koenig winch

I need to find the Koenig winch oracle. I have a 1961 Willys CJ-5 that has a pto driven Koenig King winch with the model 51 pto unit that I am trying to piece back together. Unfortunately, I am missing some pieces.

I am missing a 15 tooth sprocket out of the pto unit and missing the manual release aparatus for reeling out the cable by hand. I don't know what model King winch this is cause while everything else about the winch and pto unit is cast into the metal, the model number was a piece of paper (label) that was glued on and of course, after 40 some odd years, is no longer with us. Any help or redirection to somebody who knows somebody, etc. would be appreciated.

Re: Koenig winch

My brother in law still has the koenig winch off my dad's old '60 CJ5. I'll see if he can find a number on it. No promises, as he is a packrat and often doesn't know where he has stuff, but maybe.....Anyhow, don't know if that would help, but we can try.

Re: Koenig winch

No, I hadn't. I have now and one of these looks like mine.
I think I have a King 151J by looking at that one on ebay.

Thanks

Re: Koenig winch

Is it possible that he might want to part with it, if it is still in existance there?

Re: Koenig winch

He thinks its in the 40' trailer he has....it's inaccesible at this time due to snow and stuff. Sorry, I'm not going to be able to help you out.

As for parting with it....Doc is a packrat of the worst sort! I'll ask, but I think I already know the answer!

"But Bob, someday I might be able to use it!"

LOL!

Just like the Johnson bar steering Gibson tractor he has....in parts....
