The pre Badlands Bash to do list

What do you have to do to your rig before the badlands bash?

Here's my absolutes:
finish putting the lift on (should be done tonight/ tomorow)
Change some fluids
Bust out the gloss black so my jeep looks all purty (not for the body, bumpers, frame, rocker guards)
Get a 35" spare

What I'd like to get done
Welded 8.8 in the rear with 4.10's
4.10's, ausie locker, 297 joint shafts in the d30
Full cage, wait better bump this up to the must dos
SYE/ cv shaft
AX 15 swap

I'm in a lot better shape compared to last year, at this time last year the tj was still in pieces and satyed in piceces till wensday night of the bash

Re: The pre Badlands Bash to do list

I was under the impression you weren't gonna be able to make it, Andy. Glad to hear different.
Can't wait to meet you and everyone else.
I can't afford to do anything to mine, except maybe put some gas in her.
I guess I might get a hand throttle in and hopefully a tank for the OBA, but nothing too costly.

Re: The pre Badlands Bash to do list

It's not for sure untill my truck and trailer roll into steam corrner. It's not garuentted yet, i won't know for a while yet what i'm doing. I really want to go on this run in canada and i have to figure out when it is and if i can swing both weekend finincally. It's also 3 hours from school and 4 hours from the island house opposed to about 8 or 10 hours of driving to attica.

Re: The pre Badlands Bash to do list

Well lets see. Not in any order
1: Finish wiring up the motor
2: Get the motor running
3: Have Dual exhaust made and installed
4: Full cage
5: Make a traction Bar
6: Weld both front and rear spring perches
7: Fab custom shock mounts
8: Install and wire all custom gauges
9: Install New Alternator
10: Install starter
11: Run fuel lines and install gas tank
12: Install line lock and all new brake lines
13: Test out suspension and fix if needed.
14: Set up a High Steer setup.

I think that should be about it.

Change oil and lube. Other than checking things out, I don't think I have to do anything at the moment.

Execpt..............

Get cash for the run.

Re: The pre Badlands Bash to do list

I put the Poison Spyder corner crushers on with LED lights and put the Poison Spyder cage together and installed it. Also installed a steering brace.

Next install
SYE
RE 4.5 superflex lift
new seats
build tire carrier
build gas tank skid
build flat tranie cross member
install motor lift
Tie rod flip

and all of this has to be done by the 21st we are going to Easter Jeep and I will be leaving on the 21st untill then.
The Lift is not supose to be here till the 11th. Time will be short with work and all.

Sure hope you make it and your jack stands just might make it to Ultimate in a week.

Re: The pre Badlands Bash to do list

I was actually there today, jay was there talking about you and ed, it seemed like he knew you, i had never met him till today. Let me know when they are there though i'm not sure the next time i'll be down that way, hopefully soon to pick up an 8.8, 4.10's for a dana 30 and some other lil parts though i need to scrape up the cash big time for those parts. My lift is done, i just need to put the rear tj flares on and get some front shocks the right length, i got rears that work but couldn't afford/ find cheep fronts so they have a gheto lengthning kit on them right now but should hopefully be gone with in 2 weeks. I'd really like to have the axles under the jeep by easter weekend since we have our club's big spring trip then and the 35's and dana 35 arn't going to get along.
