Winches

Ok I am in the market for a winch for my rig. Forgetting about the cost of one which is better the Warn XD9000i or the Warn XD9000. Cost doesnt matter because I am getting it cheap no matter which one.

Thanks
Mitch

Re: Winches

I don't know if one of those models is better than the other. I think that I have a 9000i model. I liked it because the solenoids are integrated into the winch body that, to me, makes the winch look cleaner. -- Mike

Re: Winches

The only real differance is an intergrated solonid pack vs. a non integrated solinoid pack. Otherwise they are the same winch, same thing with the m80000 and the x8000. It's harder to change solonids and make a dash mount winch controler on an xd9000i than it is on an xd9000. I'd save the coule bucks and get the xd9000.

Re: Winches

Performance wise they are about the same. I like the 'i' series because of compact, cleaner look. It is personal preference.

Check here for WARN's compairisons.
