Re: paddle hadles doors and tub question

I may be wrong here but I think the paddle handle was from 81 to now and the twist was from 80 back. not real sure about that.
But if you have a paddle handle now then any tub from 80 up CJ/YJ should work.

1. You won't have a problem fitting older doors,
2. To a newer tub,
3. Just remove the post assembly,
4. Install a piece of angle iron over the door lip,
5. And let the door latch to that...
6. It worked for me!
7. The newer tub will fit your frame.

Re: paddle hadles doors and tub question

well the thing is that i have a 78 cj7 so i have the twist handle and want the paddle handle. since i will be looking into a new tube i need to know if a 81+ tub would fit my frame with no mods. and just swap it all out, no?

Re: paddle hadles doors and tub question

Yes it will bolt right in. 80 thru 95 CJ/YJ tubs will all fit your frame.

Seems I read that 87-95 YJ tubs need 2 body mounts moved. Other than that, they fit.
