As you probably know, air bag suspension is widely used on hiway trucks. They use a little link that attaches to the axle and connects to an air switch on the frame. It adds or subtracts air as needed to maintain the pre-set distance. Basic as Alley Oop's axe. Re: airbag suspension info?

i wont be able to use the air bag i was thinking about because its 15" in diameter. i would need something that's about 5-6" in diameter and still have a 10" stroke to fit up front.

Re: airbag suspension info?

Am i the only one that doesn't see how a leaf spring would be able to keep up with a 10" travel air bag? To me it just doesn't see like a lift and a long travel air bag would work together well. I've seen link suspensions set up for air bags but i've never seen it with a leaf spring besides maybe a couple inch load helper.

Re: airbag suspension info?

it's only 5" up and 5" down in the front. my leafs will go up about 4" till it hits the bump stop. and then drop way down past its normal ride position.

basically i would be useing my leaf spring suspension for most of the work on the trail. the bags would add a little lift 2-3". and then if i need it alot of lift.

Rover's are 4 linked, and not leaf sprung.

Re: airbag suspension info?

I would love a system like that, just so I could stop having to plan my Jeep with consideration as to my garage door height!
