Ford T-19 to D300 T-case Linkage

Couple questions on a Ford T-19 swap. I am converting transmisions from the T-4 to a Ford T-19 mated to a Dana 300 using the Novak kit. The mainshaft and adapter are all installed. I was test fitting the t-case to the adapter to look at what clearance I would have for the t-case shifter linkage. I found that it would not bolt up with the linkage pin/bolt installed because it would interfere with the side of the trans. Anybody run into this and how did you end up installing the shifter?

My initial thought would just be to just cutoff the inboard end of the shifter mounting pin/bolt where it hits the trans. Any thoughts appreciated.

One other question with regards to the clutch. I found that I can use a 10.5" clutch with 1 1/16 diameter input shaft from a '76 to '79 CJ with a T-150. My question is that the trans for the 304 V8 or did that tranny also come with the 258?

Re: Ford T-19 to D300 T-case Linkage

I remeber shaving something off my np-435 to make the linkage fit. It was a boss with threads in it. I don`t know what the t-19 looks like ,but you might have something like that in the way. I don`t know if the 150 came with a six but it seems like it would have . A friend of mine has a 5 that had a six and a 3- speed trans . I guess it was a 150? The t-18 (76-79) hadd the right clutch that you need also.
