identify this bellhousing


I'm needing to swap in my T18 to my 4.2, think this will work?

Well i dont have it her to look at but it looks just like my friends and he has a t18/4.3 setup..

My 350 > SM465 has a peaked top.
It fits the 4.3L>SM465 too.

So I doubt its a chevy bellhousing. I thought they were ALL peaked at the top.

I know it came off of a CJ with a 258, I just need to know if its the right one for the T18.

Looks like the correct bolt pattern for the T-18.

Yes I think that'll work. I'm sitting here looking at mine from a factory 258/T18 set-up. Aside from yours having 2 holes that mine doesn't have, they look identical. They are the 2 lowest holes on the tranny mating surface. I don't think those holes will come into play, there is nothing on the 18 down there to mate to.

Does the T-18 need the special bolt that goes into the bellhousing from the flywheel side?
