Project SBC

I just scored big time. I now have a chevy 350 tunned port injection engine with 700R transmission, wiring harnes, computer, gas tank and all the gauges.
Guys...your going to hate me....low mileage....and all for $500. Eat your heart out. So now I get to start Project SBC.

I'm going to be taking my time. Collect all the parts and info I need. I know a lot of it is already available on this BBS...but some of the questions are going to be hard to do a search on. Like...what are my options for the electric fuel pump in the gas tank....can I get one to fit in my existing tank?

I am planning on pulling the body off the frame. It will make it easier to hold the engine in place and weld in the motor mounts. I also have some frame mods I want to do at the same time...not to mention sand blasting the bottom of the body and then rubber coating it.

Wish me luck.....and don't hesitate to offer any advice or ideas.

Re: Project SBC

I keep hearing about frame mounting the fuel pump. I know hot rodders are doing it when they retrofit EFI. I think the key is to mount it as close to the tank as possible.
Congrats on the score, it should keep you busy for a little while.
