Got one for you wiring gurus

Senerio:
I put a amc 360 into an 89 yj. Running the Howell FI and the MSD 6a ignition. This is my question. I've gotten rid of all the computer wiring and have a few extra wires coming out of the main harness that I have no idea where they go, or if I even need them. They are:
i-3 igntion orange wire location a6 on the harness
i-1 ignition switch yellow wire location d5

Also, I have most wires hooked up, but when I turn the ignition on, the volt meter doesn't move.
Any help is appreciated.

"i-3 igntion orange wire location a6 on the harness
i-1 ignition switch yellow wire location d5"

I assume by main harness you mean the YJ's harness? What is i-3 and i-1? A6 and D5 are on the YJ harness correct? Now let me go look at a diagram.

Re: Got one for you wiring gurus

A6 is not used on the 2.5L and it is spliced to C7 on the 4.2L. C7 on the 4.2L is part of the Jeep ECM which you don't need.

So A6 is not used.

First check : Ign lps 15A fuse
D5 looks like it goes to the Jeep ECM and Ignition module. It also goes to the gauge package and indicator lamps. I think that D5 need 12 volts during crank and run. Look for another Yellow 12V+ that is hot in crank and run and splice into that. The diagram shows the following all spliced together with D5.

D5, ECM, Ign Mod, buzzer, defog, gauge pkg, tach, ind lps, emm. timer, fuel pump relay, heated O2, resistance wire to Alt.

Hope this helps.
