Well if the last couple of year mean anything it will be Mikey or Jr. Id like to see Martin pull one off though.

But forget the asphalt, bring on the dirt tracks.

Don't know.....Daytona's a crap shoot.
(I am waiting for the ARCA race there...........I'll be rooting for Brandon Knupp. a total greenhorn boy. He's been kicking butt. He's local, and a great kid. I hope he get's noticed, and he's still in high school )

Its bout time JR wins, but I'd be happy with Rusty or Mark leadin the pack. Just keep Tony Stewart outta the front. Shoot out his tires.

To echo the sentiment from the Super Bowl thread......

That's where those guys drive in a circle forever because they can't find the exit? Right?
Yawn!!

Re: For this group here is a better sports questio

i prefer to watch F1 racing...more interesting tracks and i think the driving is more technical...a buddy of mine summed up NASCAR in 4 words - go fast, turn left...

hey, where's all this smoke in here coming from?

to each his own...

Re: For this group here is a better sports questio

I chimed in on the super bowl post so I thought I'd post here as well.

I just can't stand NASCAR. I mean... I just can't get into it. I've watched it forever, my dad was a HUGE fan, and followed Awesome Bill for years. I've been to the Michigan 400, and even Rockingham. But still no appeal....... now if I was racing..... that might be different.

Oh... I've always been a Mark Martin fan when I was forced to pick a driver.... soo..... GO MARK!!!

Thatís GO FAST, TURN LEFT isnít it? A sport that owes a lot to the running of moonshine.

I lost interest when they were no longer stock cars. Those were the days.

There should be little doubt about who my favorite was.

Let the games begin.

Re: For this group here is a better sports question...

Cannot say I'm into NASCAR much either.

But, I know the MArines have a car/team, so my loyalty obviously goes to it's driver... whoever that may be. And, let the NRA's car come in second.

Don't have the money to go to the actual races and no time to watch on the boob tube... both time and money better spent on more practical things: church, family, Jeeps, guns, hunting, etc...

Needless to say, when I get into an unfamiliar crowd, I'm not much of a conversationalist.
