What master cylinder?

I am replacing the rear drum brakes with disks on my CJ. I am prety sure I will need a new master cylinder, what should I get?

Your stock master cylinder should be just fine. That's what I've got on mine and I've had rear disks for almost ten years. It is the proper bore size for the front discs and you don't want to make any changes to it. Master cylinders for four wheel discs have the fluid reservoir divided equally.

There have been three different threads on here lately that provide a very wide range of thoughts and ideas on the subject of braking.

cant get 82 cj to stop

Rear discs not working!

Proportioning valve

I'm probably in need of some sort of brake upgrade on mine, but am still running drums in the rear. Would this swap work, or is it best to find another solution for mine?
