Re: renegade, larado differenc

Laredo had a leather-wrapped wheel and grab-bar, plus pinstriping on the fenders/dash and a Laredo emblem on the glovebox. Laredos also came standard with a tach & clock plus chrome wagon wheels which were all options on the Renegade.

I'm partial to Renegades, but Laredos were a more expensive option package. The CJ-7 Limited was the top of the line and was only made for 1 or 2 years - very rare.

Yeah what texas1al said.

And over the years it changed a bit the early Renegade had more things in the package in like 82 than it did by 85 or 85 when the CJ ended.

There were also several special packages that are now rare.

Don't forget the pretty chrome grill on the Laredo.

Like was said, mostly a trim pakage.
Kinda like if you went to a dealership and looked at TJ's now.

X
Sahara
Tomb Raider (haha)
Willys (haha)
Rubicon

There are quite a bit of difference between them in performance options. But you can find in the X, sport, and sahara that it's mostly a "comfort factor".

I would never forget the chrome grill... and not even the black tape stripe around it..... nor the chrome bumper.

OK, I'm just sick like that..... see.... Note the decals on the fenders (original 1985 vintage on original paint).

D'oh, eBay seller pics were handy.... just a small shot of my 85 CJ-7
