Re: ravin exhaust wha

from what i remember when i worked for midas, the ravin muffler is quite similar to a flowmaster. They sound pretty good i think.

Re: ravin exhaust wha

umm, don't think i'd put it with flows, but ... Ravin Mufflers

check this one... Ravin Stuff 1

or... Ravin 2

Apparently Midas will push the Ravin because this is "their" muffler Ravin 3

you might be able to get a feel for the sound here

check google or dogpile and you can probably find some more, but i think i'll stick with a nice flow, tried and tested, and it's not the push muffler for any particular shop.

Re: ravin exhaust wha

Geeze sorry. Started as a joke (coffee can) and that got such a reaction....... just a little fuel to the fire. Guess I was a bit harsh.

Go for better fuel economy, performance.... something worth doing. Who cares what it sounds like?

Hey ya know what.... if you have money to burn just send it to me.

I don't think there is a way to make a I6 sound good. th only thing i can think of to make it sound cool is a v-8 swap. now there is nothing wrong with adding a better flowing exhaust for performance reasons but not sure it will add much. my suggestion is look for the quietest good flowing exhaust and go from there. understated sometimes sounds much better than loud. especialy in the case of an I6. loud exhaust on I 6 sound like a cross between a tractor and a ricer and i doubt you want that. or at least i hope you don't. I may have to head up to lex and see my nephew maybe we can meet up and you can show me your tj sometime. good luck with it.

Now we are back to the "coffee can" but with kind words and understanding.... So I'm just a Crusty Old Fart with a very limited tolerance for waste and useless spending.

This thread may make something of it's self yet.... naw not likely.

Good Luck
