OT Video how NOT to use tow strap

14MB Video, so not very dial-up friendly.
Hilarious clip of idiots trying to pull a car off a snow pile.

Re: OT Video how NOT to use tow strap

That was hilarious!! I wish that they would have taped the ensuing rear-end kicking. -- Mike

Re: OT Video how NOT to use tow strap

That is great!! Based on where they hooked it and how they pulled it, what did they think was going to happen? And how do you explain that one to the insurance guy?

LMAO

Now that was funny!

They were lucky that parts didn't go flying and hurt someone. And even that crappy strap with hooks sucks.

But it still kills me, not only did the bumper come off......he ripped the WHOLE REAR OF THE CAR OFF.......SPOTWELDS AND ALL!!!!!!

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

You sir get an A for the day for this link.

Re: OT Video how NOT to use tow strap

Hilarious!!! I wonder who ended up paying for that one?
They're from Maryland, so I'm guessing that was last year's blizzard they were stuck in.
I had to do the same thing to get my old Nissan out of the snow, but I had a clue when I pulled it out.

Re: OT Video how NOT to use tow strap

This should be included in the "Drivers Training" Iowa State Police video section, just before parallel parking.

It's a wonderful thing people that challenged with the basic laws of physics and friction can use a camcorder and make all of our lives a bit lighter by showing just how silly they can be.

Damn I'm glad it wasn't my kids.... but then I'm thinking they would have just pulled the car out... even with a crappy tow strap.

Re: OT Video how NOT to use tow strap

there are two keys to avoiding doing something that stupid! 1.) DO NOT put such a sweet sounding muffler on anything!
2.) Never allow anyone to video tape anything!

Re: OT Video how NOT to use tow strap

This is the exact reason I never allow a video camera around after I say don't worry it will be fine........ And why I do not own one... That said
