O/T Can\'t wait to transfer to this college!!!!!!!

Well I have my AA in drafting tech in a month and then after that I am transfering to OIT in Klamath Falls Oregon. OIT= Oregon Institute Of Technology. But while I was in the head of engineerings office, he was talkin about different jobs and he told me about meeting with a spokesmen from Warn that morning looking for somebody with just my qualities. So I told him that I have a Jeep and that sounds like a good job, but I wanna get the Engineering degree. But after telling him what I drive he started nameing off skyjacker, revtec and some off road shop that have been bugging him for employees for a very high starting pay. I can't wait to get my degree and work for one of these places.

Mox, Congrats on the AA. I don't know how old you are but you may wanna get set up in an interview with those companies. Alot of places have tuition assistance now and look forward to their employees furthering their education. May be a good situation. Just a thought. I just took out loans to go finish school and I'm 31, not looking forward to paying those back. Could've done it better.

Interview with those folks!! At least find out what they've got to offer. You don't have to take the job, but maybe they'll make you an offer you can't refuse. Having someone else pay your tuition is better than having to pay it yourself, plus you put yourself in a way better position for the future.

Just my $0.02

Congrats on the new degree and good luck at OIT. Like the others, I recommend that you interview as well. Interviewing will provide you with two valuable experiences --

1. You will learn what companies are looking for in someone with your skills
2. The more you interview the more comfortable you will be when it matters.

Both of these will help you in the long run. Additionally, as the others said, the companies may have a program that will pay for you to get your degree.

Congrats on the AA
I say interview with all of them. Many firms have an intern program where you work for them part-time, during breaks, etc. and they may even help with tuition. This will give you insight to the company, trade, and industry. It will give both you and them the opportunity to guide your education where it will do you both the most. I had a brother inlaw doing this. They paid him quite well and when he graduated they hired him at more than I make and I'm 20 years older than him.

Re: O/T Can\'t wait to transfer to this college!!!!!!!

Just might have been. The baseball coach told me that they have a damn good Basketball team. I wanted to go the school for the engineering field, but when I talked to the baseball coach and he remembered me from a past tourny and he told me that I can walk on the team and be the starting shortstop....well hell... that just made the school look a whole lot better.
