Breaking in a rebuilt engine

What suggestions do you guys have for break-in? I just replaced my crank, main and rod bearings, and bolted a rebuilt 4.0 head.

Re: Breaking in a rebuilt engine

Break in typically focuses on rings seating in and cams seating into the lifters.

Bearings only, I'd just focus on making sure there is oil pressure before applying any spark. If you could, remove the dist and turn over the oil pump with a slotted adapter to a 1/2" drill.

I'm hoping you lubed the bearings, crank and rear main seal on assembly?
