?\'s about high steer arms

I've got a quick question on high steer arms. I am putting them on a d-44. There are a lot of companies who make the arms and some have different features. Some have 10* machined into the link end so as to avoid binding while others don't. Couldn't the same affect be reached if you used a high misalingment bushing under the heim or would you still have some binding issues at full flex? Also, for a SOA on a CJ, using a average 6 leaf spring pack, will a 1 inch arm work or do you have to use a spacer?

Re: ?\'s about high steer arms

I am running basic Shaker Built arms w/o any angle built in and with high mis-alignment heims I have no problems with binding. When I did the hi-steer on my dana 30 I got away w/o any spacer and cleared the springs fine. With the new axle and taller perches, I used a 3/4" tall heim spacer and clear the springs by about 3/8" using 1-3/8" tierod & draglink

I have 7 leaf spring and had to use a 1" spacer from Parts Mike.
