Why Holley is Lame.......(Rant)

Well folks here goes.
First off Holley never answers the phone, I call and wait and wait and wait. Holley doesn't answer emails. There has actually been a couple times I have got through on the phone and they have the worst customer service skills in the world. I for one will never by another holley product because they suck.

I have a holley projection kit (502-20s). Laugh it up ha ha I know. I have read the mixed reviews. some people love it and most hate it. Well Im not going to get into detail but the Cons out weigh the Pros by far.

Now Im not a total sucker cause this kit cost $1000 with the closed loop. I tried it out cause I got it brand new from an older guy that just never got around to installing it on a project. I set it up on my cj about a year ago. This jeep is only used in the summers.

So I have probably 700-900 miles on this injector that goes. If you ask me that is not a quality product anyway. After a little help from Will I find out the part number I need.

Solution should be $75 bucks for a new injector.

Turns out Holley doesnt make the injectors anymore. They sell new ones that are $80 bucks and are a different size so you need a Pod kit also.
Solution if I fix it $250 for the 2 injectors (even though I only need one) and the kit.

Now if thats not one of the lamest ways to steel your money then I don't know what is.

Im so upset with the whole situation I think I would rather slap a carb back on it then give holley anymore money.

Thats all.

Mike

Well I feel for you

I learned about Holley waaaaay back in the 70's,,,mmmmmmm 1971 to be precise. Haven't used then or even recomended them since

They may have the very best product on the market, (NOT hardly) but I will NEVER purchase anything with the HOLLEY name on it.

I feel for you as well!

I've been a firm member of the "Holley Sucks" club for years too. Although I found their carb's are good for one thing.

Well I still dont like Holley, but thanks a bunch Will. I just ordered 4 of them so I should be all set. The Holley guy ruined my confidence in finding some leftovers since he stated it would nearly be impossible. Never even thought to check good old ebay. thanks Mike

[/ QUOTE ]1. Did Holley ever make their own injector?
2. Or did they buy off the shelf,
3. Or private label?
4. Check out some Bosch,
5. Or Ford to see,
6. If you can get a cross...
7. I'd almost bet they're generic!

I ran a Holley Spreadbore 750 I think ,,, On a Race jeep back in the eary 80s ,,, Made my beefed up AMC360 run like a rapped ape ,,, Un hooked the linkage to the secondarys for street use & got 28 Miles per the gal ,,, with plenty of UFF ,,,

Had flooding problems when I went up steap hillls ,,,,out the fent holes till i put a Vac hose between them with a couple a holes in it even adjusted the float some but it still poured out ,,, Shed fly tho ,,,,Got a new one waiting to go in my Jeepster ,,,
