Could this be part of my problem?

I am still having that problem with my tranny of it drives fine for a while when its cold, then after like 10 miles it starts that whininng like I described before. Then it will die at a stop sign and start but when shifted into gear it will die. So I got under the other day and was looking at the new exhaust that the exhaust guys put on and the pipe that goes from my header, down around to my cat is resting on my 2 tranny fluid lines. I remember that these lines weren't resting on the exhaust pipes when I took my tranny out, so could this be a factor in my problem? Thanks

Re: Could this be part of my problem?

1. Yep, it could very well be part,
2. If not all of the problem.
3. If the ATF's overheating,
4. Read that as NOT BURNING,[*]ATF is designed to run at about 175*F
5. Then it tends to loose it's properties,
6. And can kill seals and the T/C quickly.
7. The ATRA says 90% of transmission failures,
8. Are due to overheating.
9. Cut and Re-route those lines.
10. I use 5' sections of Hard Brake line,
11. To replace and modify my ATF cooler lines.

Re: Could this be part of my problem?

Sorry to tell ya MOX, but if your still having issues, the damage could already be done. I would suggest doing as LEVE said and rerouting those lines. Then take it to a reputable shop and have then flush and change the fluid. Maybe theres a blockage or something. Good Luck
