I like that 465/300 combo, nice and neat.

Thanks for the pic of the worn output shaft also, I'd never seen one of those before.

Do any of the other differnt splined shafts fit in a D300? In other words.. better words.. do they have sufficient diamiter to be re-splined.

Re: How do you ID an SM465?

The output shaft that Novak sells with one of thier kits looks as if it is a resplined 6 5/8" , 35 spline shaft, but I don't know for sure. If your going to make the adapter, they may just sell you the shaft (if you don't want to respline another),,,,,,, Eric is a pretty cool guy about customer service. If it were me, I'd rather save the money and buy the adapter and Tcase input for the 10 spline from Novak then completely disassemble the Trans, respline the shaft, reassemble the trans, cut up the stock adapter and fab it back together while trying to retain the crossmember mount. Your time only would be huge,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,but that just me,,,,,,time is money.

Re: How do you ID an SM465?

My time is cheap.

For me atleast.
I should get into making wiring harnesses or something..

I have the outer adapter.. and it's not a problem to cut it down from it's current 12" or so length..

I'm going to double check the diamiter of the shaft.. but right now I'm dissapointed.
