Jeep\'s New H2

Check out Jeep's response to the H2. I guess we all should've expected this, but I'm disappointed that Jeep is even dignifying the H2 with a response.

Re: Jeep\'s New H2

AHA - yes, but the difference between GM & Daimler-Chrysler is that DC isn't going to make the mistake of producing the vehicle.

Besides, I'd put any CJ up against the "all powerful" H2. The H2 just seems too Yuppified to me.

Aw, why not? After all, most everyone else is making things that look like a Tampax box.

Re: Jeep\'s New H2

The one design element I like is the old Willy's style round-shape side view mirrors.

As its name implies, the Rescue is geared toward aiding the likes of firefighters, park rangers and ski resort personnel. And as its exterior proportions imply, it's a response to GM's Hummer H2

I like this idea, a jeep is too small for rescue situation where people need to be stretched or worked on.

Solely producing it to combat the H2 is kind of weird, but if it keeps DC producing CJ/YJ/TJ types, then knock your socks off DC. More money = more R&D (such as creation of the Rubicon). Having another *truly* capable off road vehicle in the Jeep arsenal isn't a bad thing either IMO.

Re: Jeep\'s New H2

DC might go ahead with this. Everybody thought the Rubicon was a big fake back in the days, and look at it now

This thing seems much more "yuppiefied" than even the H2. I do like the styling of this new beast and all the gadget inside make it like a 'gangster mobile'

The H2 feels way to wide to do much with, but this thing is narrow and would give it a better off-road feel. Its a beast, thats for sure.

did you miss the one ton diffrentials. look to be at least 60s probably 80s. What about the front and rear winches. It honestly looks to me like it may be a truly capable vehicle. the styling borows too much from the butt ugly h2. a few slight design changes could make it a very desirable. Change th rear of the body and the interior needs to be seriously simplified and looks like it could be a real winner. it may look like the h2 but off road it would embarass the h1. although thats not saying much.
