No taillights, have questions

I have not working taillights, side markers or running lights, or dash lights. Not sure what the problem is, but I'm guessing a fuse. The turn signals work, the headlights work, the break lights work, the back up lights work, just no running lights, taillights, or side markers. I have the Haynes Manual, but I have been on winter break and left the heep at school. Is a blown fuse the most likely problem, or is there something else I should be looking for? I appreciate any help.

Re: No taillights, have questions

I just went thru that with my work truck, same thing excatly. I went thru the gauge cluster, the light switch, the fuse block and the wires to the taillights. Then I unplugged the wire loom that heads to the taillights and the front running and marker lights came on. That was to double check that I hadn't missed the short to the rear Markers and taillights. The short was near the exhaust so I spliced in a repair longer than what I'd cut out so that I could route it better. Now all my lights work, PITA.

Re: No taillights, have questions

I guess I left something out. When I unplugged the loom for the rear markers and taillights, the front marker and running lights came on because the short was isolated.
