My garage is finsihed !!!!!! (pics)

I finally finished my garage space for my Jeep. Take a look at the attached pic. If you look close you can see my winter project (D44 and Ford 9") in the front left.

The lighting is HO fourescent, and the floor is industrial Epoxy coat. Let's hope I get the wall mount heater for my birthday!

cookie: The garage itself was there when I got the house. I did the drywall, lighting, flooring, and trim around doors and windows. Of course the pegboard, and (3/8" steel topped) workbench as well. Flooring was PITA and $$ but worth it.

Re: My garage is finsihed !!!!!! (pics)

WHTTRASH, I used Sherwin Williams industrial Epoxy coat. It is a 2 part Epoxy. You mix it, let it sit for 1/2 hour, then you have about 3 hours to apply it. You cannot do 2nd coat until the next day. I had to do floor 1/2 at a time. Comes only in 2 gallon kits in any color. Cost about $90 per 2 gallons (my floor took 8 gallons total for 2 coats). Plus all the materials you have to throw away because you can't clean it off anything.

I used to have a little fridge for Beer or whaever in there, but it took up too much wall space and I never had anything in it.

GA-Zowie! That garage looks like a Betty Crocker TEST KITCHEN with that floor! What a nice job you did! There is NOTHING like having the place well-lighted. ESPECIALLY once you gits past sixty.

Re: My garage is finsihed !!!!!! (pics)

Hey Pnut,

Garage looks great. I put that same epoxy on my garage floor 2 years ago. It has held up great. I have a couple of chips in the concrete fron dropping axles, etc... The epoxy is tough, I keep a spray bottle of full strength degreaser handy for spills. I have even gotten overspray on it and that scrubs right off. Hope you enjoy your "new" workspace.

Later,
Tom
