wheels for mid 80\'s CJ (reproduction)

oes anyone know if the chrome (wide) spoke style wheels (80s CJs) are being reproduced or does someone have a nice NOS set? The only ones I can find are rusted or badly pitted. Thanks for the help!

Re: wheels for mid 80\'s CJ (reproduction)

Mine on my 81 were very bad looking when I got them. They were all cloudy and did not shine at all. I found out there was a factory clear coat that was on them and had weathered really bad. I used pain stirpper and fine steel wool to remove it and they look like new except for one having a little rust around the valve stem, hardly noticable. Now I just hope my 33x12.5 stuckbirds fit on them ok since the rims are only 8" wide.

You will find the 12.50 tires will fit and work better on the 8" than the 10" at low psi. Not to mention how good they look

Re: wheels for mid 80\'s CJ (reproduction)

i have a set of wheels that came on my 1981 scrambler.(description) ridge/valley/ridge/valley (narrow spoke)? so on so forth. steel and they take shank nuts. thats the only way i can describe them. good description huh....
i used to have a picture up here. they are hard to find rims that haven't been made in a long time. i only have 4 and i searched for a long time and couldn't find a fifth, so i took them off and bought a new set of rims.
Actually i may post the pic so someone can tell me what they are exactly.
