C Flatfender?

hi there

has anyone here made a flatfender out of their CJ like this

flatfender

i was thinking about doing it but concerned about the side markers. i'll need to have them and think it would look dumb with them on the hood. would it also look dumb if i left enough room on the fender to leave the side markers there?

anyone got picts. to share if they have done this or something similar?

thanks
patrick

Re: C Flatfender?

personally i would just go to auto zone and get some universal side signals that measure about 1.5 in by 2.5 in and mount them about a foot above the jeep logo on the side of the jeep. and i really dont think it would look too bad. just my .02

Re: C Flatfender?

This is what I did. I used 18 gauge gal. The local guy here made them for me. I wanted to keep the same width as the flares in the rear.

I used the two inch (2") round LED lights and mounted them in the hood. The rubber mounts take up the slack caused by the curve of the hood. They work well and look pretty good too, I think.
