Farewell my friend/foe....

My Jeep just sold on Ebay today. I didn't think that it would actually happen, but it did. It had to make room for a Honda Civic .
This was the wreck of a Jeep that brought me to this BBS in the first place. It was the whole reason why I looked you guys up.... and it was the first vehicle that I felt comfortable tearing into on the weekends, knowing that I would be able to get it back together enough to drive it to work on Monday.
Now, some guy named "Ray" will hopefully enjoy it. He is driving six hours on Friday with $2800 in cash to take it off my hands. It's going to be one heck of a drive for him in that thing on his way back home too.
I'm in no way leaving this board though... I still have Jeepchick's 95 Wrangler to cater to. Just a little sad that my first Jeep has a new owner.

Re: Farewell my friend/foe....

same here... the 5 will grow moss sitting next to a newer jeep before I would even consider selling it. Not only do I have too much time and work put into it, but this hobby has opened my life to a pastime that keeps me out of trouble, and I REALLY enjoy the jeep. Even when it don't start, don't stop, whole fenders fall off, stuff breaks. It still has a special place in my heart and I won't let it go. It will probably have a new frame and new tub down the line, and the rest of the stuff has allready been swapped for newer/better things, so it won't even really be the same old jeep, but all the same, I couldn't let it go.
