Look what I found what is it worth?

I have been looking for a project to keep me warm after the baby is born since my wife probably will not. Today I located this jewel. Have not talked price yet. Just currious if you guys can tell me exactly what it is (cj2a?) and what it may be worth. The only major problem I see is that it has rusted through where the front springs mount on the frame.. And will be a tough fix, Atributes is the body is not as rusty as most I have looked at, and it has the PTO... Kinda cool I thought...

What do ya think it is worth? lost title, so not roadworthy...

Looks like a CJ2A, but might be a M38. Gut feeling is CJ2A

No 3 point,, And I am guessing cj2a as well, due to the split windshield..

I am actualy getting excited about this one,, so that means the owner will want a fortune for it...

Re: Look what I found what is it worth?

If it was a M38 it should have a battery box between the hood and windshield and it should have like a 4inch filler neck for the fuel tank. I have a 51 M38 but looking for a grill and winshield frame, the current items on mine are off a 2A....

Re: Look what I found what is it worth?

So any Idea what it is worth?? No title and does not run.. Looked at the engine oil, and it has water in it, but not locked up... transmission does not want to go into 2nd gear, and I cannot get the pto to disenguage... Oh and as stated before the front 8 inches of the frame is rusted off...

Re: Look what I found what is it worth?

My '48 2A ran (rebuilt motor 3 years before I bought it), had the pto on the transfer case but no gear box, and the body was quite a bit rougher than that one. I paid $1400, rebuilt the tranny, transfer case, front brakes, new alternator and most all wiring, and a few other things. I sold it for $1675. All in all I ended up taking a loss of around $250 to drive it for ~6 months. With a body in that good of shape it looks to be a good base for a rebuild. Good luck. Will and I are on the same page,, if I do not hear from him in a few days I am just gonna stop by and offer him 100$ and go from there. With no title it is not worth much more than that to me..
