YJ Full door window seals

A stupid question, but I can't figure it out without cutting the door in half.

I have a set of full steel doors on my '92 YJ. Where the window frame enters the lower part of the door at the rear of the door is craked. I am going to weld it, but need to get the rubber out of the way so she don't melt. I figured out how to get the seal out that is inside the wondow channel, but how about the seals that run horizontally along the lower part of the door? How do you get those things out of the way so I can weld and not melt them?

1. You've got to remove the window.
2. Then you can look into the sill...
3. And see,
4. And activate the clips that hold the seal to the sill.

Re: YJ Full door window seals

That's what I was afraid of. Kind of hoping for an easier way to just pull them out of the way a bit, then put them back. OH well, better to do it right, then to do it half a$$.
