Interior Lights and Mirror Brackets

The search feature is a great place to start before posting a question. I took the doors off tonight and when it got dark I noticed that all the interior lights were on.

I searched for "Interior lights" and there was the answer. The post about this indicated to pull the "Door Switch Defeat." It worked.

On to my second question the search had this question in November but not a good answer. I ordered a set of Mirror relocation brackets that mount to the lower windshield frame. After removing the mirror from the door, I am unable to remove it and need to know if there is a better relocation bracket for the 2003's.

Hu??

What is the problem?
did you get the mirror off the door?
If so does it fit the relocation bracket?
What "relocation bracket" did you order?

Re: Interior Lights and Mirror Brackets

if you were a real jeeper you would drive holding the mirror in your left hand and drive and shift with the right. don't worry about the passenger side, no one uses that one anyway.

ha!

Re: Interior Lights and Mirror Brackets

After removing the mirror bracket from the door, I was unable to remove the mirror from the bracket. The mirror is held into the bracket with some type of metal compression washer around the plastic mirror shaft.

The bracket type that I bought indicates that it will work with a 2003 TJ, but the 2003 mirrors look different than the 1997-2002 mirrors.

I will try to post a picture of the bracket, but this being my first attempt, hope for the best.
