Re: OT - Fuel Saver Gimick?

Wow, $90.00. So if it doesn't work they charge you $16.00 for re-stocking? hmmmm. If it worked I would buy them for all the trucks at work and my cars. I guess it lasts forever? I didn't see anything about replacing it.

If it looks too good to be true, it probably is. Hey. Maybe we all pitch in, get a couple, pass it around to the board members to try out for 1500 miles then we know.

Personal experience or just in the know???

I admit, it sounds too good to be true. This is probably the kind of thing you might buy out of an airline catalog when your at a high altitude with nothing to read and the drink cart has come past one too many times.

Re: OT - Fuel Saver Gimick?

Well from their website they say GM holds three patents on this. It doesn't appear to be a Gm website. If it were a real GM product, then wouldn't Kevin Harvick be hawking it on his car every Sunday? Wouldn't GM add this to every new vehicle? A 27% increase would give them a major advantage in the marketplace.

I agree its BS. IMHO

Re: OT - Fuel Saver Gimick?

looks too good to be true. I might even buy the resonance description for atomizing fuel (better burn), but the description of how it removes HC from the engine is fishy to me (but I might be wrong).
Also, this site came up 2 days ago !!!! this is what 'who is' search gives (make your own decision )

Re: OT - Fuel Saver Gimick?

What makes the FUEL SAVER unique?

Operates on the principle of RESONANCE, utilizing a double chamber frequency with phased frequency modulation.

I think that is similar in function to a flux capacitor.

Actually sounds like the amalgamation of a few topics covered in an introductory circuit analysis class.

Resonance = is the frequency that something will oscillate at. ( think of a tunning fork)
double chamber frequency = nothing

you can have a tuned resonance chamber as in a laser or a maser...

lets reword this into car terms

frequency is a rate. for example: what is the frequency of 120vAC in my house. answer 60hz.

not much different then speed. example: what speed are we driving at john? answer "we are going 60 MPH"

so lets substitute speed for frequency.
>>
Operates on the principle of RESONANCE, utilizing a double chamber speed with phased speed modulation.
>>

not mention that all this happens passively. where is the control circuitry? where is the power coming from to start this resonation?

I also like the stuff about how the frequency breaks up the gas molecules. From my education, it requires energy to brake molecules

It is a MATCHED PAIR of tuned custom sealed Neodymium Super inductors that generate a frequency resonance between its two faces.

a resonance circuit is between a capacitor and an inductor. not 2 inductors, also where did the energy come from to start the resonation?

Re: OT - Fuel Saver Gimick?

Go the local grange supply and buy a couple of cow magnets,
strap them onto your fuel line.
I've been doing it for years,"seems" to work!

Re: OT - Fuel Saver Gimick?

I think it can do it's job with exceptional results..... It's job is done as soon as the consumer signs over thier credit card number......

Kinda like the new amazing lure I bought when I was 15 to go fishing with my dad. we got out fishing with it.. he was catching them left and right witha rubber worm while all I was doing was wearing out my arm casting.... Pops looks at me and said "That lure sure did catch a big fish.... the one that walked out of the store with it..."
