cj-5 auto trans question

Well my clutch went out on the jeep and I am looking to see if anyone is running an automatic in a cj-5?
If so is this a hard swap or more work than its worth? I have an AMC 360 and a Dana 20 T/C.
Am I just better off putting a new clutch in?

Re: cj-5 auto trans question

Just put a new clutch in. With an auto, first you have to get the flexplate for the 360, I believe you will have to get an adapter for the tranny to transfer case. Then you'll need a new front and rear driveshaft. The rear will most likely have to be a cv shaft. You might also have to move the rear axle back some. After that is all said and done, you have to mess with shift linkage. I say jus treplace the clutch
