Just a little rust spot, right

There was a little rust spot on the driver's side just below the door opening, so I got the 8" air orb sander out and put on a Norten 40 Blue stripper disk and found the small rust was rusted through and had been badly repaired before. Took the air cutoff tool and cut out an 8" by 4" section, went to Home Depot and bought some 16ga sheet metal, and now I had a good excuse for buying a MIG welder. MIG welded it in and now it is fixed right and it is stronger than new. Next it is on to a small hole in the floor board.

Riiiight! Just a little rust spot. Sure.

Since this is your fourth Jeep, you probably know that you're in for a wild ride.

Any excuse for getting a welder, eh? Nudge, nudge, wink, wink.

Good luck!

Remember all rust spots start off little. Im sure my floorboards in my CJ5 started of with a little rust hole but when I got it you could stick youre entire foot through it. Its always beter to prevent it than repair it.
