Opinions? Best budget mud/rock tire in a 35\"size?

I would like some opinions on different trail tires. Who do you think makes the least expensive 35" mud/rock tire? This would be for a trail only rig. I am looking for people who have run the tires they are discussing.

Thanks,
Tom

Look at the Kelly Ridge Runners, I have them in 33 x 12.5's and I am very happy w/ them, under $100. They have them in 35's too. Good in rocks, mud, and pavement. There a great compromise,....... I think.

I did some searching, and can't find those tires anywhere. Is it possible that the name has changed?

Thanks,
Tom

Re: Opinions? Best budget mud/rock tire in a 35\"size?

I am pretty happy with my Kuhmo MT's. The look similar to the older BFG MT's, and cost about $105 each.

My set has taken a good amount of abuse, and are wearing reasonably well. I expect to get over 30k from them.

I am looking to replace them, but haven't decided if I'm going to get another set of the same tire, or try something else. I'd like to see what others suggest.

How about my used 35" BFG MT's I'm selling in the F/S section!! Good deal and only $112.50 a piece!! They worked good, but just don't have the sidewall strength that I need for where I run. I love my new SX's, but they weren't cheep. I've also seen a swamper like tire at Wal-mart, but have never seen them on a rig.

I'm rather happy with the off-road performance of my BFG KM's. They're not the cheapest, but seem to do great off-road and in the rocks.

I have the BFG MTs on my Scrambler. I really like them, but I don't consider them cheap. I was hoping someone might know of a decent budget 35" for around $100-120.

I know they are not 35, but I swear by my 34x10.50 Swamper LTB. The price for them is killer. The tire really does a good job for what i need it to do.

Re: Opinions? Best budget mud/rock tire in a 35\"size?

I really like my 33x12.50 TSL Swampers for the mud and "rocks" that we have here. The 35" TSL is like 15" wide; the 36" is 12.50" wide and less expensive than the 35x15. The latest Desert Rat ad in JP shows the 36x12.50x15 for $164.95, and the 35x15x15 for $195.95. You can probably do better than that, but just to give you an idea.

Tippy, I run the 33" super sports that wal-mart sells. I've been very happy with them and will probably use them in the 35" size when time for new tires. I would like to get some SX's but they might be out of the budget for a few years.
